Plan one continuous shot of up to 30 seconds, steer it with as many as 50 reference files, and export in 4K. The workspace on this page runs Seedance 2.5 in your browser.
Seedance 2.5 overview
Seedance 2.5 is the step up from Seedance 2.0 for work that does not fit in a 15-second clip. A single generation runs for up to 30 seconds in 4K and reads a much larger set of reference files, so the opening, the action, the camera move and the closing frame can be planned inside one take instead of being joined afterwards.

A 30-second generation leaves time to establish the scene, let the action play out and hold the final frame. Shorter clips force you to cut at least one of those.
Choose 4K when the video will be shown large or cropped. Packaging, fabric and metal keep their detail on product pages, in ads and in premium social edits.
Attach up to 30 images, 10 video clips and 10 audio files, and give each one a job: appearance, setting, style, movement or sound.
Film and TV IP that has been licensed can be used in Seedance 2.5 within an authorized framework, which lowers the risk of commercial projects built on existing characters and worlds.
Decide where characters stand, how the camera travels and which way the action moves before you generate, using 3D spatial pre-visualization and camera blocking.
Start from product photographs and brand assets and develop a launch film in which material, finish and lighting stay under control from the first frame to the last.
Within an authorized and compliant framework, develop film and TV IP pieces, character reinterpretations and fan-style work with less uncertainty over rights.
Test a composition, a camera path and the pacing of a scene in a single 30-second pass before committing to storyboards, camera blocking and final production.
From brief to finished shot
Work in this order: write the shot, assign the references, fix the output settings, then review. Each pass removes one source of guesswork, so a weak result points to something specific to change.
Pass 1
Give each third of the clip a task. In the first ten seconds, introduce the subject, the setting and the opening camera position. In the middle ten, show the action, the product reveal or the exchange between characters. In the last ten, reach the peak and settle on the final frame. A beat-by-beat brief tells Seedance 2.5 where the emphasis falls.
Pass 2
Decide what each file controls before you add it: a character, a product, a visual style or a location. Up to 30 images carry the look. Add video clips when movement or camera rhythm has to match, and audio when sound should lead.
Pass 3
Set the aspect ratio, duration and resolution before you submit. 4K output is supported, so choose according to where the video will run: a landing page, a paid ad, a product visual or a social cut.
Pass 4
Check subject position, camera path, material detail and the timing of the ending. When something is off, correct the specific reference, movement or 3D spatial instruction responsible. Adding general quality adjectives rarely helps.
This table reflects what each workspace on this site offers. Seedance 2.5 takes the longest, most reference-heavy scenes with 4K output, Seedance 2 covers standard production work, and Mini keeps drafts and prompt tests inexpensive.
| What you need | Seedance 2.5 | Seedance 2 | Seedance 2 Mini |
|---|---|---|---|
| Typical work | Product films, launch videos, storyboard pre-vis and brand scenes that depend on many references. | High-quality text-to-video and image-to-video in the established Seedance 2 workspace. | Drafts, prompt experiments and everyday social clips at a lower cost. |
| References | Up to 50 files: 30 images, 10 videos and 10 audio files covering style, character, motion and sound. | Up to 9 images, 3 videos and 3 audio files. | Multimodal references are supported, with a lighter set suited to cost-efficient generation. |
| Clip length | Up to 30 seconds, enough for a complete short scene with setup, action and an ending. | 4 to 15 seconds. | 4 to 15 seconds. |
| Resolution | 4K, 2K, 1K and 720p. | 4K, 2K, 1K and 720p. | 480p and 720p. |
| Place in a project | The single workspace for a project that combines product assets, character references, motion examples and audio direction. | The dependable route when steady production output matters most. | The testing ground: try many ideas quickly, then carry the best prompt and references to a higher tier. |
| Strongest point | Reference depth, visual detail and room to plan a longer scene for premium commercial work. | Stable, high-quality Seedance 2 generation with mature controls. | Speed and cost, when those matter more than reference depth or advanced controls. |

It is an AI video model, upgraded from Seedance 2.0, built for clips that are longer and more complete. One generation can run for up to 30 seconds, output reaches 4K, and several kinds of reference material can steer the result.
Up to 30 seconds in one pass. That is enough for one prompt to carry an opening, a camera move, the main action and a closing frame without joining clips.
When the audience will see fine detail: product texture, close-ups, wide cinematic frames, landing-page media, and ads or social videos that have to look finished.
50 files per project: up to 30 images, 10 videos and 10 audio files. They can pin down the style, the characters, the settings, the movement, the sound and the details of a brand.
Yes, on plans that carry a commercial license: every annual plan, the monthly Standard, Pro and Max plans, every team plan, and credit packs from the Creator Pack upward. Work made with the free allowance, the monthly Basic plan, the Starter Pack or a trial pack is limited to personal, non-commercial use. You also need the rights to any reference material, brand element, likeness or audio you upload.
Yes, provided the IP is licensed. The platform's authorization and compliance framework covers work with licensed film and TV IP in Seedance 2.5: authorized characters, material from film and television properties, brand characters and fan-style development. That makes commercial projects safer. Before you generate, make sure you hold the rights to everything you upload, including character images, trademark elements and portrait references. Copyrighted characters you have no license for, the likenesses of celebrities and the brand assets of other companies must not be used.
Cinematic clips for social media, product launches, advertising, brand motion work and storyboards. More generally, it suits any short scene that a brief test clip cannot hold.
Four things work together: a longer continuous take, sharper detail in 4K, a larger reference set and support for 3D spatial planning. Together they let you prepare a fuller scene and keep control of it.
Collect good character images, references for the style, and examples of the camera movement you want. Pair them with a clear prompt and visual direction, and the Seedance 2.5 workspace has a steadier brief to follow.
A few minutes in most cases. Rendering slows as the clip gets longer, as the resolution rises and as more references are attached, so expect a 30-second 4K video to be among the slowest.
Written prompts, still images, video clips and audio. One generation can mix as many as 30 images, 10 videos and 10 audio tracks in any combination, and each can direct the style, the characters, the setting, the movement or the sound.
Switch to Media mode and use the Media Files bar. It takes images, videos and audio in three ways:
Take Seedance 2.5 for clips longer than 15 seconds, for native 4K output, or for complex scenes that need a large reference set. Seedance 2.0 is quicker and costs less, and suits social clips, ads and drafts of 4 to 15 seconds.
Seedance 2.5 is offered on paid plans. The pricing page lists the current plans and the credits each one includes.
The three options set how Seedance 2.5 treats a video you attach.
You will see the switch after attaching a video. It also applies the right output limits for you: with Extend and Edit the aspect ratio of the source is retained, and with Edit the length is retained too.
With Smart on, the ratio follows your reference material and you do not choose one. With Smart off, you pick one of the six fixed ratios.
In two situations Smart is locked on, because the input already determines the ratio of the output:
With Auto, the model chooses the length, and that length is unknown until the video exists. The reservation therefore covers the full 30 seconds. What the button shows is the upper limit of the charge, not the amount you will end up paying.
Once the video exists, the cost is worked out again from its real length and the difference goes back to your account automatically. There is nothing to request, and the returned credits do not expire.
To see a fixed amount in advance, move the duration slider away from Auto and select a specific length.
From $14.90 per month on annual billing.
